TAP Board Member, Jeff Travillon was appointed to serve on AISD's Middle Level Education Plan Task Force.  Donna Hagey, TAP's Executive Director, was appointed to serve as an Action Team Leader for the Middle Level Education Plan.  Hagey’s team developed Action Plans and cost benefit analyses for the District designed to improve the way the District partners with outside organizations and agencies and provides resources that support student attendance, parent and family engagement.

Robert Rutishauser, board president of The Austin Project and chair of Ready by 21 Coalition was asked to serve as a Board Member of Seton Family of Hospital's Children’s Optimal Health Initiative.  He was also asked to help prepare information for the COH's presentation to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

The Austin Project is deeply saddened by the passing of our co-founder Elspeth Rostow, Sunday December 9, 2007. "Elspeth Rostow's vision of the possible, her can-do attitude, and conviction gave her the energy to pursue objectives both grand and small ", said Donna Hagey, Executive Director of TAP. "Our deepest sympathy goes out to her family and friends along with our gratitude for all that she gave over an extraordinary life."

Jose Del Valle stepped down as the executive director of The Austin Project in August 2007. In January 2010, Jose joined the TAP Board of Directors.  Jose's accomplishments are extensive; we are grateful for his continued support and guidance.
